A somewhat similar argument. Lack of unstructured play and more attention abroad as opposed to in-house.

After all, the NBA sponsors several Basketball Without Borders camps throughout the world, typically in Africa, Serbia, China, Lithuania. Yet, why not in NYC, LA and Chicago? If the mission is to bring players of different backgrounds together-the original goal of the first camps conducted in Italy with teenagers from Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia-why not go to some of the areas plagued by violence and mistruct within the USA? Maybe these neighborhoods do not have as many seven-footers as a camp in Nigeria or China, but maybe the camp offers hope to a kid in Compton who turns into the next Tayshaun Prince.

I'm all for globalization and development elsewhere, especially in Africa. However, some of the resources should be spent here, too.
