As for particular drills, it depends on why and how you commit turnovers? Do you have tunnel vision? Do you make weak passes? Do you misread your teammate? The exact drills depend on your particular problem; it could be technical, tactical or athletic.
At times I believe that its alot of things thats causing me to turnover the ball such as weak/bad passes, and sometimes I do misread my teammates, and I simply have bad decision making at times (kind of alot)
I understand the concept of getting trapped though. I understand if the opposing team brings 2 or more trappers I know theres someones open, but I believe its my bad decision making that usually leads to the turnover.
Example: I get trapped in the corner by two defenders. because the PG passes it off to me (Thats how we break the press 2 downcourt in corners 2 up top and 1 in the middle) I usually look for a cutter going to the basket, but if thats not open I jump to make a cross court pass to my teammate in the opposite corner. It usually gets tipped or picked off.
I would really appreciate some help on how to handle a press/pressure better.Thanks.
