Re:Any new editions to the Blitz Method? - 2007/12/04 20:54
Yea thats thw DVD. Im the same way. After each game Ill see what we need to work on and drill it into our 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 progresssions. Im still doing 4/0 work b/c i started the offense at the beginning of the yr, lost some ppl and changed but in the end decided to go back to it. I love teaching it and the kids love it as well.
The variations of breakdown drills are endless and its up to our own imagniation. I started teaching out of the 2/0 what I dub "kick and re-kick" after I saw Memphis and Pepepridne run this action in the flow of the offense. We start one guard up top and penetrate to the rack zone jump stop and pitch to the guard shuffling up the arc. Penetrate to the rack zone from the wing, jumpstop pivot and pitch to the first guard who replaced in the corner. And now he attacks and finishes at the rim w/whatever move I decide to focus on that day. Just one of my examples.
